During their selection show livestreamed on ESPN2, the Savannah Bananas barnstorming baseball team announced Thursday they’ll bring their fast-paced, highly entertaining, fan-favorite Banana Ball to New Orleans with two marquee games on March 14 and 15, 2026 inside the Caesars Superdome.
Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation and Legends Global, the Bananas will face off against their perennial rivals, the Party Animals, with the full Banana Ball ruleset in play. The game will also be streamed for free on the Bananas’ YouTube channel.
“Bringing Banana Ball to the Caesars Superdome reflects our mission of bidding on and hosting major events – in this case, events that are unique,” said Jay Cicero, President and CEO of the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. “The Savannah Bananas have created one of the most original and entertaining experiences in sports, and staging this game in a world-class venue like the Caesars Superdome will showcase New Orleans once again as a destination for innovative, can’t-miss events.”
The Savannah Bananas are a touring baseball team known for creating Banana Ball, a fast-paced, fan-focused version of the sport with unique rules designed to keep games limited to two hours focused on fan engagement. Blending competitive play with showmanship, music and nonstop entertainment, the Bananas have sold out every game since their founding in 2016. What began in Savannah, Georgia, has grown into a nationwide phenomenon drawing millions of followers online and in ballparks across the country and will bring the phenomenon to New Orleans.
"We are thrilled to have the hottest sports and entertainment show, Banana Ball, coming to Caesars Superdome in March,” said Evan Holmes, Caesars Superdome General Manager. “This unique brand of baseball with a party atmosphere tailored for all ages is the perfect fit for New Orleans."
Tickets for the Superdome event will be sold exclusively through the Bananas’ official lottery system. The ticket lottery list is now open, and registration closes on October 31, 2025. Being on the list does not guarantee a ticket; names will be randomly selected ahead of the event for the opportunity to purchase. If chosen, fans will complete a verification process before finalizing their purchase.
Standard ticket prices start at $40, while Meet and Greet tickets begin at $125. Prices are all-inclusive with no hidden fees or taxes. Tickets will only be available through the official lottery at http://www.bananaball.com/tickets.
The Bananas caution fans against purchasing tickets through third-party resale sites such as StubHub, VividSeats, or Ticketmaster, as these listings are often fraudulent or significantly overpriced. Fans are advised to only use the Bananas’ official channels to secure entry.
